...Finally finished my 2nd pencil drawing of Leonard Cohen's portrait! As I already mentioned,I am going to see him on July 18th on concert,so I am very excited, and enthousiastic about it...I want to offer him one of the 2 portaits I made...I don't know, which one of the both is better, the first one or this one?If You have any opinion about it,please tell me! And I suggest You to listen of one of his marvellous songs in his last album"Old ideas" called "AMEN" [link]
This is a good likeness. My love and I were planning to see him Monday night, but unfortunately a number of the band are ill, so the concert has been postponed until April 26th.
I read your comment on your dog, I can't add a to that (sorry). My boy is 13 this year. He too is getting old. I already think of when he will leave me.
...thanks for Your appreciaton on Leonard.Well,he is worth waiting for,I can promise you! I dont understand why You mentioned that You are sorry, for not "adding a fave" to my last drawing on my lost dog.I really don't care ,if You fave my works,or not.If people want to fave, they do it,if not, they don't.I don't resume my artistic competences on "faves",really, really not...I am sorry for Your your "boy",by the way,I can understand only too well, this,on contrary.
yes... we have seen him before so I was looking forward to it.
I did not add the because of the emotional impact on myself. I think the picture is really well done, and I just wanted you to know that and usually when I seem something that I think is good I add a . But for myself, it points to an inevitable future that I would rather not have, but will have of course. It is just how life is.
...I undertsand...it's hard to loose the one's we love, and life is...not always easy...we are born with a shout, and we are dying with a shout...we know, from the beginning, that everything ineevitably has a end...(maybe not our feelings)I wish You lots of courage,sincerely...
good so you were not at the show where he collapsed on stage from exhaustion
history:
Leonard Cohen is recovering after collapsing on stage in Spain. The veteran poet and performer was part-way through his song Bird On The Wire during a concert in Valencia on Friday night when he fainted, causing the band to stop playing to rush to his aid. The concert was stopped. A video showing Canadian-born Cohen kneeling down several times and then keeling over sideways during a saxophone solo. Cohen, right, who will be 75 tomorrow, was taken by ambulance to Hospital 9 de Octubre in Valencia but released early yesterday. His music company said he had suffered a stomach complaint. Cohen is due to perform the last show of his Spanish tour tomorrow. Trucks carrying equipment for the show in Barcelona arrived at the venue yesterday morning. Cohen had to come out of retirement five years ago when he found that most of his retirement fund had disappeared in a disputed case of mismanagement
...the show I was,was fantastic, and unforgettable,as I mentioned You are talking about an event, which happened 3 years ago...it certainly was very sad for Leonard, and luckeley he recoverd very well,since... I don't understand, why You are saying he will"be 75 tomorrow???...Leonard is born on 21st of September 1934,and therefore 79 years,so he will celebrate his 80 years Jubilee this year! And I can tell You,when I saw him on stage few months ago,he was AMAZING,even jumping around inbetween the show, like a 17year young teenager!
Sorry I just copied an article about his fall maybe he was 75 then. I don't understand how his ex-manager stole all his money very sad. 80 is a milestone for sure
