...thank you for Your appreciation, and yes,it's good to read the book and see the movie/speactacle after. You should see the very old movie with Anthony Quinn in the role of Qausi Modo, and Sophia Loren in the role of Esmeralda...gorgous!But the musical was really superb ,too, and the music great!
...the movie of "Quasi Modo"(a "Miramax" movie came out in 1956,you can find few scenes on Youtube, typing Quasi Modo -Anthony Quinn or Sophia Loren),the Musical of "Notre dame de Paris"(Luc Plamondon)came out on 1999(I think),also findable on You tube, english version ,type Notre dame de paris -Tina Arena)...Hope You ound those informations interesting
...thank you deeply for Your nice commentit was much appreciated, and I feel humbled...as a traditional artist myself, and only doing "traditional art",I prefer myself to watch also other"real traditional artists",so , it's really nice to hear that!
you are more than welcome! I really do admire those who can do traditional canvas work - my hands are shaky from the rheumatoid arthritis so even if I DID have any ability, which I never did, and I'm almost 60...I wouldn't be able to maneouvre a brush, or pen or what not. I have problems with the tools on Paint.Net that require hand guiding. so thank your stars you are able to use the talent you so greatly have!
well, slept ALL weekend, hope I can get something done this coming week! at least I picked up my laptop this evening! You apparently have some falcons of your own! Do you have other types birds as well? You seem very very busy and active. I admire that...used to be that way as well when I was an ICU nurse .... with 4 kids at home! now it's the grandkids, 7 in all, I see off and on! My birds and dog keep me busy and my "art" composites are my relaxation and therapy for my attention span, but enjoy the journeys they take me on.
...unfortunately,the birds of prey are not mine(I once had one,but this is a long story),the one You can see on certain pics in my gallery are those of a very good friend, awho is a falconeer, and sometimes he visites me with some of his birds,or I visit him(unfortunately he lives far away),so than I am in "paradise".But I have a dog, cats,a guinean-pig,hamster,fishes and looots of birds in the garden..,so I have some occupation with my little zooand I have as well a 9 year young daughter, and she is my sunsine
yes daughters can certainly light up your life! scaled down 3 years ago to a modular community ( read upscale trailer park lol) where no real gardens, but we back up to wooded wetlands so still have birdies outdoors and hear the million frogs serenading in the late spring evenings! soon, soon.
Dear Flori, another magnificence and cinematic piece. I wish I knew more about the story. The choice of colours and the way they are blend with light to form a mist adds an aura magic. This looks like a giant wheel with each scene radiating around the image in the centre, sorry this is very hard to describe.
...Big appologizes for my silence and absence lately,my dear Allen,I hope You are fine...thank You so much for this wonderful comment. Oh yes this is a wonderful "classical",wonderful story going on by end of the 14th century(If my memory is good),of Victor Hugo,You should absolutely read.Ther has been made also a very good movie, with Anthony Quinn, and ....i Think,Sophia Loren, really nice one.But this musicale spectacle was not bad neither, just different way, modern,of course, but really good. The wheel actually was made for the celebration of the "fools",and Quasi modo was the "king of the fools",because he was so ugly, and they chained him on the wheel, turning him arround, torturing him badly, and making fun of him,he was emprisoned on this wheel without any food and no water, for quite some time, and the beautiful Esmeralda came to give hime some water and try to liberate him, though it was forbidden...
